Weyland Core Set Teaching

If you're trying to teach someone about Weyland (or how to play against Weyland), I think you really do need Scorched Earth (and probably a SEA Source). It's such a common tactic that a new player should know to keep 4+ cards in their hand against Weyland, or to avoid tags like the plague.

A full-on glacier deck (which this looks like) might be better run out of HB instead.

@disguise117 I decided to avoid HB because much of their ice are Bioroids, which introduce a mechanic that's confusing to new players, "I thought I wasn't allowed to spend clicks during a run? Why can I spend them on this ice but not events?" I included Heimdall to introduce that mechanic, and specifically made it the only Bioroid, since new players sometimes assume that HB ice can be clicked through even if it's not a bioroid. Weyland's ice is the most straightforward, in that most of it just ends the run. I left out the SE potential because Weyland can build a respectable glacier. This is designed to be a player's very first experience with the game; dying on turn 3 because you didn't know you needed to play around a card you didn't know existed and could get you instantly killed is the opposite of fun for a newcomer. A new player just needs to know the objective of the game, and how to accomplish it, which is mostly by running, getting breakers, and running some more.

I do agree that not including Scorch is very counter to Weyland's strategy, but they're a simple and straightforward faction outside of that. The problem with playing SEA Source and Scorched right off the bat is that you basically have to tell the new runner, "Hey, this card exists and is in the deck so always keep it in mind." I want them to find out what the corp is packing on their own, without any huge risk of ending the game prematurely in an unsatisfying way for the runner. A big part of the fun in netrunner is the nervousness about the hidden stuff, and the eventual reveal of what that stuff is.
