Spanish Inquisition v3

apo 460

Third revision of this deck.

I dropped FAOs and underperforming Gorman for 3rd Account Siphon and 3xCrescentus. It turns out that with knights you don't really need FAO. Just facecheck with no rig and when you actually have something to lose, pop a knight before facechecking. Crescentus is a star here, allows to run hq/rnd multiple times in one turn, as the corp can't afford to rez the same (possibly even rooked) ice over and over.

Gameplan:

  • keep the corp low on cash (reina, xanadu, rooks, siphons)
  • when they pay big time to rez, derez it with crescentus
  • dig through the rnd with medium and imps
  • trash high cost assets with imps
  • go tagme with siphons mid to late game (with plascretes/imps to help mitigate)
  • conjure nerve agent when least expected
  • use knights to breach remotes by surprise
  • deja vu use depends on situation - bring back either siphon, both imps or something important lost to damage

If you don't have any econ card in starting hand (siphons don't count), mulligan. There are very rare times when you want to mull even with econ - example: sure gamble, deja vu, plascrete, plascrete, nerve agent. I have much fun playing this deck. Comments appreciated!

In comments to the previous revision PeekaySK suggested using Compromised Employees. I was really pumped to try this out as I thought it goes well with costly rezzing theme. It didn't work out at all. Reina discourages rezzing, but you get most out of your Compromised Employee when there is lots of rezzing. Crescentus was clearly a superior choice here.
