Argus Mindgames

A "stab" at a death-by-a-million-meat-cuts Argus deck.

Ideas:

  • Early game use cheap ice to establish gear-check and slow down aggression.
  • Get Archer online ASAP in your scoring remote (you only use one, this is NOT shell-games). Archer will be the main tax, with Hive and stacked ice helping add to the tax.
  • Play never-advance mind games with agendas, melange, SanSan, and Will-o'
  • Play double-advance mind games with agendas, agg-sec, junebug
  • If you have a False Lead scored, they likely HAVE to take the meat damage, which is a great tempo tax when they DO steal an agenda
  • Try to keep Fracters off the table.
  • FA-ing off the SanSan is nice, but not the end-all-be-all. If they are paying through an archer and a barrier or two just to then pay to trash San-San .. thats a win.
  • Interns to get back SanSan, Melange, Will-o', or in extreme circumstances Archers.

Heres where I need your help:

  • Economy: Hostile, Cyber, Melange is definitely not enough. Not sure what to cut or add.
  • Ice suite: I'm I getting too fancy with the Barrier-heavy idea here? It combos well with the philosphy of Cyberwalls/Agg-sec/Will-O/Archer.
  • Agenda suite: Lots of 3/1 to choose from, are these the right ones?

Side-note, I'd much prefer Archived Memories over interns, so ambushes can come back online, but that would mean ditching SanSan. Worth it? More cohesive to the strategy?

I love the un-Corrodable approach with Wraparound. That's brilliant in a Weyland deck, but it also makes me think you want to consider Power Shutdown. Making room for a Jackson could suck, but I think it still needs to be in there. The deck is lacking in draw power, and getting JH in the mix really opens up the Shutdown avenue.

I'd replace Hive and maybe Bastion by Fire Wall :)

Made a more straightforward 'uncorrable' version (see left) that focuses more on advanceable ice and a few ways to advance them. Will be more predictable but probably stronger overall.
