Dirty Dan 108

Hey I've decided to post my runner deck as I've just posted my corp.

This CT build is a little obscure but I hope everyone who looks it over will understand.

The deck runs on the idea of using your tutor's to get out your leprechaun asap along with a magnum opus. This kick starts your game as it normally would. using earth rise hotels and public sympathy's you can get your hand size to eleven fairly consistently every game. You should only ever need two leprechauns in play they're use is to keep your memory usage to a minimal as sage and magnum opus both take up two memory each.

Break down

Economy: magnum opus, this is as it always is and will fundamentally fuel your credit needs, the three sure gambles are in as a good boost when you can.

Programs: Leprechaun, its probably one of the most important cards in the deck as you want to use as little memory as possible. Sage, is so good when utilized properly. Overmind is great at any point of the game and can be utilized for week sentrys or mythic ice. Faerie is always good, and with three clone chips and test runs is always there when I need it .

The one levy AR: this is great late game as it gives you back your faeries, scavenges, test runs, etc.

The MU: this is the spine of most of the effort that goes into playing the deck as your Ekomind will make your sage huge after playing one or two public sympathy.

I feel the deck suffers against any decent IT Department plays. But its been generally good against most other opponents, building quickly with the tutors in the deck then having crazy money and finally breaking everything when ever you want.

I really like the flow of the build, I do think 2x stimhack would go a LONG way to solving your IT dept problems. Seems like a pretty non-issue with public sympathy too.

-1 faerie - 3 sure gamble +2 stimhack +2 modded or 2 makers eye? Maybe?

I cant believe that stimhack wasn't in mind when I started thinking of ways around IT dept, thx :D I'll test it out as soon as I'm able :P as for the inclusion of either modded or makers eye, I'd probably go with makers eye, but both will be tested.

Thanks for the input :p

Why not Femme? Helps get into an IT dept server and many other things besides, and gives you a permanent sentry breaker for small stuff if needed. To me that's an auto include with any build that's already playing TR & Scavenge.

I'm not a huge fan of fem, I've tested it recently and it wasn't doing what I hope it could do. Also I find that it still isn't a fix for IT as the corp can install a second piece of ice on that server and use IT on it.

And I like to use TR's on any Faerie during a turn that I know It could save me money on, other wise I just use overminds as the sentry breaker, also I find my main target of scavenges to be overminds in the late game, to increase counters .

Thanks for the input, I may try out Femme again if my current meta shifts.

As somebody who is also tweaking with CT+Sage Decks, I really like this deck. Have you thought about Diesel/Quality time to efficiently boost sage for a turn?

Or for example: Quality Time+Scavange/play Overmind=Crap ton of extra tokens. How is Code Siphon working out? With so few programs and massive card draw I often already have all my programs when I can play code siphon.

Also, wouldn't this deck be better in Kate? In the beginning CT's extra MU is quite handy, but once you get Ekomind going you make CT's card essentially a blank. With Kate you can at least Code Siphon most of you programs for free/1 credit into the game. Or does Ekomind with CT mean MU=hand size+1 from CT?

I have been recently thinking of including both diesel and quality time for just those reasons. I utilize code siphon to boost early game plays as fast as I see it, Its primary target is the leprechaun, unless I have one already and my next choice is always Magnum opus. As far as code siphons ability to work I find that it does just what I need it to (that is to install my economy)

As far as Kate is involved, the deck started as Kate and, as she does save me some money, running Magnum opus means I have no issues with credits. And yes CT does give mu=hand size+1 in the deck, which is my insurance as sage and magnum opus both sit on a leprechaun and for any reason if I lost my hand I still have my main source of econ and a breaker.
