Core Set |
First deck here on netrunner.db.com. Trying to get two beginner decks from the core set to introduce to my friends in order to turn them into netrunners (so that I don't have to play solo all the time). I know I was a bit intimidated the first time i played but somehow I got bit.
So, any suggestions to make my decks more even, so no side get a too exaggerated upper hand against the other, would be greatly appreciated. Also have to add that I'm not all that familiar with all the cards yet to make good, maybe even descent, combos. Even so, I think I've got a pretty good deck (?)
As I said, suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
(The opposite corp deck is here: First corp deck [core set])

Basic shaper's pretty good, I'd consider dropping the Wyldside, as it can easily flood a new player's hand, and there's 3x Diesel in there anyway.
Breaker-wise: Drop Battering ram for Corroder, it's still one of the best barrier breakers. Both Ninja and Pipeline seem like overkill, I'd cut one of each and add a Femme, b/c the bypass ability is bonkers (especially if the other side is running Tollbooth - and they should be). Datasucker doesn't really do a lot, but save you , and Shaper's have Magnum Opus anyway, so that's not an issue. Instead, I'd use the influence to add in Medium. Shapers tend to go pretty heavy for R&D (Maker's Eye and what not), and Medium is killer with that.
Crash Space isn't doing anything either - it's useful if you're going to get tagged a lot (but there's no account siphon), or if you think you're going to get Scorched, but Kate's link should help with avoiding the tag for that.
I'd also consider infiltration - new players don't know all the cards, so the expose ability is really nice, and otherwise, it gains them 2, which is always good.
