NEH Grail/Swords Splash - Dice Age SC 1/31/15

Meristem 143

2nd Place at the Dice Age Store Championship in Vancouver WA on 1/31/15.

This deck went undefeated all day, 5 rounds of Swiss. Runners faced were Leela, Silhouette, StealthAndy, ChaosTheory, StealthAndy. I splashed Swordsman expecting to see more Eater (1st place runner was Eater/Keyhole MaxX), but I did not see a single one all day.

This deck, like most NEH deck, is screaming fast. Daily Business Show makes NEH even better than it was, if that is possible. It gives passive click compression via increased draw. It was even better when I was splashing Errand Boy, which I might consider swapping with the Swordsman if Eater isn't big (but it probably will be).

Piloting this deck is like driving on the highway in the middle of Kansas; stay in your lane, go fast, ignore the boring scenery and get there as fast as possible. If you get behind a roadblock, slow it down, take money, and reset. I typically hold the NAPD Contracts in hand and will let the runner access to slow them down, or, if I'm flooded, will dump them in archives and let the runner take one to slow them down. Unless the runner has 4+ points on the board, I'm not worried about them taking them. In fact, I genuinely want the runner to steal them.

2 ICE deep on centrals, minimum. With only one Fast Track, you want to either A) use it for the Breaking News for the win or AstroScript Pilot Program if you can defend for a turn.
