The idea behind this deck is to make it so insanely expensive for the corp to rez ICE that they can't/won't. If it's the first ICE to be rezzed for the turn, even a Pop-Up is $4 if Xanadu and Rook are out! FAO is there to force them to trash ICE and Crescentus is there to punish rezzed ICE. If they do rez something, then I have the fixed cheap breaker suite to cut thru it, with Bishop and Datasucker to help. Clone Chip keeps the Caissa coming back for more. I'd like to fit Ice Carver in, but I'm not sure what to cut. The most obvious to me is Djinn/Medium, but I'd like something to beef up R&D runs. Thoughts??

You REALLY need multiaccess because you have to win before the corp does finally accumulate money. I would not remove medium at all. Honestly with as slow as this deck aims to be (which is why mine had 3 QT, seems slow even then), 2 deep red should be fine. By the time you find all your caissa, you're likely to discover a console too. Though, you could run into early MU issues since it looks snug already (thats why my deck ran Wyrm and grimoire, with no breakers). I'm not sure if running crescentus and fixed breakers is more aggressive than mine, but I wonder how many times you'll have it when you break a sub. My question is, why include it at all and no parasite, when parasite is already in faction, and you're already runnning datasucker? I'd like to hear the results of it honestly.

Its going to be a great day when mala tempora is released so we can finally play these rez denial decks!!

The question about Parasite is a very reasonable question. My answer is two fold: First, I already have a crazy Kate ice destruction deck, so I wanted to go for a completely different goal with this deck. Second, because I'm not aiming to remove ice, much like most runners don't, I am instead aiming to tax the corp thru either ice prevention or shutdown. The goal is to keep all ice facedown by any means possible. But, if they do rez, then I want the cheapest breakers possible to keep my own costs down. It might not be the best option, but lots of other great decks run without Parasite, so I'm thinking it should work.

I still can't kick the feeling that I need to fit Ice Carver in... ugh. I'm already 1 card to high for my taste.

Until I can actually play this deck, it's all theory crafting in my head, but I feel like there is a solid core here. I just need to get some actual play with it!

I was going to suggest cutting a medium since 1 is usually enough, but you don't run deja vu, and I'd hate to use a clone chip on a medium lost to damage...You're in a pickle because ice carver IS amazing for Fixed STR breakers, since a lot of common ice is right at the +1 mark. What will really bake your noodle is when you realize how good John Masnori is in these "no rez" decks, because a lot of your runs are going to be successful. I'm going to try to fit him in in place of quality time when if my version runs well without it.
