Things in Oaktown had been tense. The new renovation project started by Weyland subsidiary Hardwood Design Group was displacing residents of the area, who had become frustrated. After one hot afternoon nearly started a riot by a group of protesters, Argus showed up and brought peace back to Oaktown. Clearly, the folks in Oaktown were grateful to have Weyland's infamous security firm installed and keeping a tight watch on what was becoming a peaceful, new and improved neighborhood! The atmosphere of fear that used to hang over the street corners crowded with vagrants and freaks was now still and calm, quiet as the team of elite security forces clearing the block.
This may not exactly be a straight up kill deck. Getting an Oaktown Renovation behind a Checkpoint early on has allowed me to advance one up to 12 times or so before deciding to score it. Meanwhile the server just got more dangerous with and Archer out front (and of course I've used a turn to score a Hostile Takeover to forfiet) and I can install and score a Corporate War or High-Risk Investment to get more money potentially.
Dedicated Response Team has a strange synergy with Argus, wherein a runner is forced to take 2 meat damage when stealing an agenda. If we really want to go for a kill, we may even try ditching a few 1 pointers into Archives. 3 agendas in archives could kill a runner if not careful, am I right?
News Team is an alternative to Snare!, for protecting R&D as well as Archives! Project Junebug is a nice endgame bluff. If you're able to score two Oaktowns, a Junebug double advanced can force a game point run.
If a runner is careless with tags, or if you get to use Midseason Replacements, there's always the kill for the win.

This deck is built using just the sets I own, recently started playing in a local group |
It is weird to see an Argus deck without Mushin No Shin.
Similarly, News Team in this meta is odd. Artist Colony is prevalent to the point that people are putting in fan sites.
