Pre-rotation decklist |
This was the corp deck I took to three store champs in the Raleigh/Durham Area. It went 3-1 at Atomic Empire and Game Theory, and 2-2 at Gamer's Amory, bringing it to a darn respectable 8-4 total. I didn't top 4 at any of these because my runner, Geist, never got above 2-2 on any of the days. :(
This is a pretty straightforward rush deck. Typically you want to open with either the classic money-ice-ice or (my favorite) a Nisei behind a piece of ice. Depending on how confident you are you can either advance it once to save your ID flip or get money. Nine times out of ten they don't run on it, and if they did they'd be bounced back. Once you get that first Nisei token the game is usually smooth sailing. Make all the money in the world and rez ice taxing ice. Most runners won't be able to deal with your remote multiple times.
The deck's main weakness is still Medium and R&D multiaccess in general. There's a cyberdex to deal with Medium, and only 8 agendas to help with variance, but I might need one more Cyberdex. The tensest, closest games are usually because of Medium coming close to pulling off a win. I plan on replacing Markus with another Wraparound.
It also doesn't have too much of a real late game as operation economy fizzles out, but if you're fast there shouldn't be a late game.
The deck is a lot of fun to play, especially early on as you get the thrill of scoring early Niseis and making your opponent sweat about your choice of ID. I've been playing it for months now and have become pretty solid with it. It might die a horrible death to PolOp and Councilman, but if it does, it's great record at store champs will be a good sendoff for it.
