Noise : Tournament Winner (Paris - 12 Oct. 2014)

YodaSensei 295

Nothing really outstanding or really original in this deck. Most Noise decks revolve around the same key cards (about 30/35) whic don't leave much room for creativity in any case.

A few highlights on cards that may be debatable :

  • Sahasrara : One of the best economy cards available for Noise, as an early Sahasrara can easily grant you a net 15 to 20 gold in the whole game. It's quite useless in late game, which means you need to play 3 to hope and get one early.

  • Unique key cards are in 3 copies ( Aesop's Pawnshop, Grimoire, Wyldside). I have seen a few lists that run only 2, but I prefer the stability of having 3. The sooner you get them, the better your economy and your deck will run.

  • Djinn : Djinn gives to powerful effects to Noise decks : virus tutor and additional MU. Like Sahasrara, you need to see one early (meaning, before you start installing all your datasuckers, imps and Mediums). Searching for a Cache may be a winning move too.

  • Corroders : Many versions don't include Corroder, but it's so cost effective and barriers are so played it deserves its spot.

  • 1 Nerve Agent : it's useful against a limited number of decks, but when it does, it's often a game winner. With Datapack 4 available soon, and Cerebral Imaging getting some support, its usefulness can only grow.

What factions/archetypes did you face in the tournament? Specifically, how well did it do against NEH? I'm sure it did very well, but I would like to know if it had any hiccups there.

I think I'll give this one a shot once midterms are over. :)
