A classic Midseason PsychoBeale deck. Nothing out of the ordinary but with some small changes. I liked this type of deck from the beginning.
It is not a tournament deck I guess, but I like playing it.

Wow, big text :p. I know that barriers are kind of getting big love right now, with Blue Sun one way and Quetzal, Lady the other. This deck is a pretty quick draft version. So any hints/comments are welcome :) Economy was not really booming, that's true, but unsuccesfull demo works very well with Data Raven. A lot of people choose to end the run because they don't want the tag and sometimes also don't want to see that trace happen and cost them too much. The perfect moment to play SD (and I just like that card) :). I was thinking about Making News, but TGTBT seems also to do the trick. But indeed, I forgot about the combo with scoring the next turn with Psychographics, and IF they steal it, it's time to send in the replacements :). I'll consider some more economy, but I hate firing cards :p |

Great point regarding Data Raven and Successful Demonstration interaction, I did not consider that direction. Burst for five credits is great, so I could see why you love the card. I think 18 ice might be a bit too much, so you could drop one of them (how often do you trigger Universal Connectivity Fee? And Information Overload is expensive). You might have a bit too much tag punishment, maybe you could drop a Closed Accounts or a Psychographics. Also, does Ghost Branch work for you? I could never get it to fire when I needed, and it's a huge liability on your HQ and R&D (since it's trashed for 0). Just noticed that you only have 2x Jackson Howard - you might want to add a third one, if only because he lets you draw until you find that precious Midseason or other combo piece. |

That was the first I would've dropped, the Information Overload. The UCF works also well behind a Data Raven. It fired 2 times yesterday, always a great surprise if they don't have an AI breaker :) So I could drop the IO for 2 PAD Campaigns or Hedge Funds. Thx for the tip! Ghost Branch works well if you can hide it as a Breaking News or NAPD you're trying to score. |

I agree that IO is a great surprise - as a bare minimum it would drain them for one credit, which is similar to a pop-up, and if they're tagged it's brutal. Just remember that once you rez it the runner gets the initiative on when to trigger it, which could be a problem. How often do you trigger Ghost Branch? When ambushes fire they lead to great stories, which tend to stick with players - unlike the ten times where the runner trashes them from R&D, then runs again to steal an agenda (which is less glamorous and often attributed to bad luck rather than a deck-building choice). You could try dropping just one of them - you still have the surprise factor, just less liability. Good luck :-) |
I like how you're playing with Psychographics and Scorched Earth - that's pretty unusual and is bound to catch the runner off-guard. Sticking to a low Barrier count seems prudent nowadays, "Lady" is a popular Fracter and Quetzal is slowly getting in vogue.
I suspect that your economy might be a bit lacking, especially considering that you want to fuel a large trace with Midseason. You might want to add 3x Sure Gamble, and perhaps 3x PAD Campaign as well. You have a lot of "soft" (non-End the Run) ice, so Successful Demonstration might sit in your hand a bit more often than you'd like. Last but not least, I tend to believe that Making News will serve you better than TGTBT - it comes well with Closed Accounts, and if you install-advance-advance it you have the potential to score a Psychographics-fueled AstroScript or Beale the following turn.
