A slightly altered version the Jinteki Never Trash deck. The basic idea is just to make it extremely cost inefficient (in terms of both clicks and credits) for the runner to run on your remote servers. Try to get economy going through Sundews and PAD Campaigns early. Most runners won't try to trash a PAD campaign, but Sundews usally draw a few runs until an encryption protocol or two hits the board. Use Interns to recur whatever the runner ends up trashing (it most likely cost him more than it cost you) and most of the time the runner will give up on trashing your economy which gives you a big advantage. Protect Agendas in a strong remote with Ash and possibly a Hokusai and you'll find the runner needs to invest at least 3 clicks and a truckload of credits just to access your single agenda. Sticking Hokusai on centrals also does a fine job of taxing the runner for digging into R&D or HQ and also costs them a bunch of credits to trash the Hokusai boosted by any encryption protocols you have in play.
Tournaments Stats:
-14 players in total
-3 round swiss, followed by Top-4 brackets (I scored 10 points in swiss)
-Placed a very close second in a tense match against a GRNDL/Andromeda set up (13 points to my 12 over 2 games).

I Fight Dragons
Tsurugi is definitely worth the credits because with 4 subroutines it's a pain to break even with an "efficient" breaker like mimic/atman. Knight has been pretty popular in my local area so Tsurugi makes for a whopping 8 credit break on a facecheck with knight. The only real weakness it has is the 2 STR makes it a very nice draw for parasites. Yagura is definitely a sweet piece of early game ICE and will make a nice edition to the deck once I tinker with fitting it in. I didn't have enough playtests with it to feel comfortable running it at SC but I'm strongly considering doing something like: -1 Close Accounts, -3 Shadow +1 Ash, + 2 Eli 1.0, + 1 Yagura This shores up more taxing ICE in the form of Eli and a third Ash means I not only see them more often but also have the potential for sticking one on a central server as well if R&D lock becomes an issue. I don't think I want more than 1 Yagura because any of them past the first becomes a dead card and it's really only nice in front of R&D. This deck does well enough with taxing centrals that I don't need Yagura ever single starting draw. |

This is almost identical to untrashable but with -1 Ronin +1 Swordsman! Glad to see people are running it and doing well :) Pity I don't see all this games in my "inspired by" tab of netrunnerdb :( good thing I can now search for them :) |

Btw, I only run 1x Yagura, but a second is not a dead draw unless they run Yog. 2x in R&D can also be nice since they are so cheap, but even one in Archives can make bouncing there annoying. |
Like the idea - have been toying with Encryption Protocols myself. Do you think Tsurugi are worth it? I'm struggling to get value out of them. Yagura on the other hand has done me lots of favours. Well done on your second place!
