Post-MWL Foodcoats (1st Place @ Gamer's Haven SC)

CrimsonWraith 3638

My first place Corp deck at the 22-player Gamer's Haven Store Championship on March 12th, 2016. I went 5-1 with this deck on the day. It's a pretty basic build, nothing terribly special.

With the MWL changes, I feel you can only squeeze a single Caprice into the deck. I didn't want to spend 4 influence on a one-of that I may not even see in any given game, so I cut Caprice completely. The influence that freed up allowed me to keep Architects and add Crisium Grids. Crisium's a meta call. Nearly half of the decks in the 15-player Store Championship I won w/NEH two weeks prior were playing Eater and Keyhole, and most of those players were coming to this event with the exact same decks. At the end of the day I had two wins against Keyhole runners and three wins against Siphon runners. Crisium Grid was the MVP of the tournament for me and did work in every single match.

My selection of code gate ice is probably the most questionably built part of the deck. I'd thrown a bunch of singles into the deck for testing in the week leading up to the event, and couldn't decide which I preferred, so I just left it as is. They each have strong points and weak points in specific match-ups, pretty much comes down to another meta call. The current version kept runners on their toes, if nothing else.

Deck's about a month old at this point and there's already been a new pack released since (with another on the way), but, as always, feel free to pipe in with any questions and I'll be happy to tackle them. =)
