This is the deck I took to the Colorado regional on 5/17/14 placing 10th in a field of 39. This is my first stab on a deck that is not based on anything other than criminal being the faction with the good cards.
Sneakdoor Beta was a BEAST in this deck, playing a major role in every win I got, but I ultimately was too worried with putting in silver bullets then just relying on good choices to play around the new scariness.
Data dealer and Feedback filter were dead cards all day, even in Jinteki matchups where I thought they would save me from Komainu and I never saw a single Shi.Ku.
E3 on the other hand is a card I wish I had a second copy of because Red Coats is a thing, and nothing is better than walking through a Janus for a click and 3 credits.
Express Delivery was a card that was always on the fringe but it ended up getting me what I needed in testing, so I just bit the bullet and ran with a heavy deck, I retrospect I think that was a mistake.
All in all it felt solid, and with a better pilot could have made more noise that this journeyman did. Would love thoughts!

Never thought of Masanori, I will test him out, and you're right, only two of six games were blackmail activated (GRENDL, and stealing a clone retirement in Jinteki) far too little to be a two of. This deck started with a central breaker suite but I felt they were too restrictive, and I don't have the money to lock down all three centrals, so I need a stronger remote presence. I liked the surge of lucky find, and now that asset econ is a thing again, bank job is brilliant here. Planned assault doesn't seem a fit here unless I switch to maker's eyes or indexing instead of interfaces in my opinion though, as I don't feel that I have enough run events to warrant a tutor here. Express Delivery gives me a little bit of Mr. Li that is tag-proof, and tested phenomenally, but really fell flat when the rubber met the road. If I were to do it all over again I would cut them to get the deck down to 46 (where my runner decks always seem to live, don't know why I've developed that habit, but I don't feel right unless I have at least that many) |
I approve of singles for countering certain decks you expect to see in a tournament! I also ran Data Dealer and Unregistered S&W .35 to counter stuff at regionals.
How often was Blackmail playable? I'd consider dropping one for a Planned Attack. More utility than 2 of a potential dead card.
Not sure I like Express Delivery as a card. How did you like it? Are you often digging with draws looking for a specific card? Would rather see 1-2 Quality Time in this slot.
Lucky Find is huge burst econ, but couldn't you do the same in-faction with Bank Job?
Would love to see +1 R&D Interface in Gabe.
You could experiment with 1 Corroder, 1 ZU, and one each of Passport and Breach to conserve influence. Gabe is primarily interested in getting into centrals, so if you draw the central-only one first, you're still getting what you need and could always replace it with the other one if you draw it later.
Seems like you're not interested in removing any tags, so why not include a single John Masanori?
Summary of my suggestions: -1 Blackmail -3 Express Delivery -2 Lucky Find -1 Feedback Filter -1 Data Dealer -1 Ninja +1 Planned Attack +1 Levy AR Access (get cards back rather than prevent net dmg) +1 R&D Interface +1 Bank Job +1 John Masanori
