A Replacement Combo (Running Bear)

ZiNOS 441

A Midseason Replacements combo deck created and analysed by Running Bear here: http://corpdraw.com/2014/01/running-bear-a-replacement-combo/

Running Bear is a very good player (finished 1st place in the last BGG league on OCTGN, unfortunately different time zones did not make it possible for me to play with him.) and gives some really nice insights on his deck.

Enjoy.

P.S. He has built his deck using this site but probably he did not make it public or i just cannot find it.

With True Colors out, we could free up a huge amount of influence by cutting Celebrity Gift for Sweeps Week. That influence could go to Scorched Earth, Snare, even Biotic Labor... but it isn't at all obvious what else could be cut for any of those cards. So instead, maybe the thing to do is keep Celebrity Gift, and replace Melange with Sweeps Week?

I totally disagree. The gift is there to shoot you up in money, well into restructure range. What I did was replace restructure with sweeps week, since often NBN has difficulty going from 0-3 to 5+. I added in archived memories to give more flexability to Psycho and MS and Gift. Being able to recur gift is a huge deal in a deck that thrives on high money. That money goes into multiple tollbooths if your line of play involves traditional NBN Painintheassery with sansan. If you have your combo, cash is king.

Having those other cards do nothing but cost you money in regard to the combo, and break the whole thing down. Sweeps week does NOT give you 7 credits reliably (putting you at 10). Sweeps week will gain you 2-3 credits on a normal basis, and sometimes 4, and rarely 7. Taking out gift turns this into a PSF/traditional psychographics deck. This deck is meant to score a 13 advanced beale (or appropriate number) and win outright. A deck without gift has to plan for more avenues of victory because this one is closed off (adding ash, sansan recursion/rez, etc).
