SF/Glass House Worlds CI

JuneCuervo 2605

This CI deck is the SF worlds 2017 CI list that was vastly outperforming most other decklists in our testing. Our other corp for consideration is Gagarin, which I will do a separate writeup on.

It was around 35-5 in testing games, and a leading contender to be our choice for worlds at this juncture.

Worlds Netrunner is going to be extremely fast. This is a turn 7-10 win deck, focused on scoring quickly out of a remote behind FC3 and another piece of ice. The primary way you combo out varies from game to game. Some variations include:

The 7 Point Combo: Shipment from Mirrormorph(EC, PV, PV), biotic 3x, Advance 4x and score EC, take EC clicks, Clones are not people, 3x Shipment from Kaguya.

This is sort of the "dream case" where you just happened to draw all these pieces. Its not terribly uncommon given you draw the majority of your deck, but its not often the way games play out. Typically, you will be playing your clearances, money cards, and ice throughout the first couple turns of the game, working toward making a remote with FC3/MCAA/ASH in it. Use your First MCAA to score points (Vitruvius with counters or EC are both fine). Follow this up by continuing to amass random combinations of fast advance cards in your hand until you win the game.

  • Best Defense/CVS are anti Clot/Saccon/Tapwrm tech. You can also play 3x Load Testing instead, using them + MCAA to force your opponent to skip their next turn (thus allowing you to get around clot if your mirrormorph out the agendas you need)

  • Frankly, most Clot decks are quite bad, as I'm sure most people have experienced, which makes this archetype incredibly powerful and resilient to the general field.

  • We tried a lot of variations on this list. This is the most recent one as of this posting. Pure gearcheck ice suites fold to turtle, and as a result, we pivoted to wraparound/fc3 over GFI/Vanilla/Roto/etc.

  • Bryan Stinson was pretty insane in early testing, but fell off pretty hard. We guessed that if we at least played one, people who scouted us would imagine we are playing multiples and we could get away with only playing one for the majority of the tournament. If you're playing against CI, just always have more than 5 credits. :)

If you have questions in particular about this list, feel free to ask. Mostly, this deck is significantly faster than most all of the runner decks people are playing. We hadn't finishing a set of games against Maw Alice yet, which was sort of the next big test to figure out how bad that matchup might be and where we'd need to hedge against it. Fortunately for this deck, I think its unlikely any strong players will play a Maw Alice deck (since its obviously slow and bad against the majority of other viable corp strategies) which raises the stock in this deck quite a lot.

Of you have further questions about the archetype, let me know in the comments and I'm happy to help. I'm fairly certain CI will be one of the most represented and dominant deck styles at this years worlds, along with Prison Gagarin.

I have a question: why are you posting decklists that are very similar to scraped decklists? Do you honestly believe that, after looking at prominent deck builders decklists, the correct course of action is to release your takes on those decklists before worlds? How could this possibly make things any better?

Have to agree with Jonas here. This is a joke of a way to "try to make things better". You're just making things way worse for everybody. Just stop, this is the worst.

Maybe because numerous people asked him to publish his lists?

this is so dumb. Why would you post this?

People are upset that you stole their decklists, then you built this deck with some combination of

a. knowledge of what would be good against the competitive runner meta, based on what people have been testing b. knowledge of what other, more-honest players have built for corp

and shared it to the world.

What are you thinking?

I've been seeing a version of this in public on jnet for at least a week now, I don't think this is such a big deal.

DAMN SCOUTERS!!!!!

I think he was quite clear that this is a deck THEY were testing, not a deck that they scraped.

@theodorelogan The issue is that this is a deck they were testing, informed by what they scraped. So even just putting it up is telling everyone what they scraped. This is all so ridiculous and should be taken down, but the person involved is too clueless obviously.

'Mostly, this deck is significantly faster than most all of the runner decks people are playing.'

Was this a masterful meta prognostication?

I mean there aren’t many fast Runner decks left RIP

@thebigunit3000 other than the total recusal of a large team, this seems like the next best thing. They fucked up but are now trying to level the playing field, both equaling out the information they got, but also open sourcing conclusions so they can be countered or out built.

I know we're all supposed to hate SF people or whatever, but I"m new and was hoping someone could explain what you're supposed to do in the early game with CI decks like this. If I don't see enough of my operations early I cant afford to rez ice without losing my hand and get wrecked.
