1st place Corp deck for the much belated 2014 Season One Tournament at Petrie's Family Games on August 23rd, 2014. Technically a true tie for first place with matching prestige and strength of schedule. Cards were legal up to Upstalk.
Nothing new here for those who have followed PeekaySK's Scorched Imaging or chill84's CSI decks. PeekaySK popularized Scorch in CI and I had particular success with chill84's list, so this build is a near carbon copy of that. This is my third successful Cerebral Imaging variation at a competitive level, but the first time I've brought Scorched Earth into the picture. My local meta has gone away from Plascrete and everyone is used to me playing CI without Scorch, so I figured I would try to surprise a few folks. I went undefeated with the deck, flatlining with SEA -> Scorch -> Scorch in round one and flatlining with Biotic -> SEA -> Scorch -> Archived Memories -> Scorch in round two. In round three I won by scoring out, but could have flatlined with SEA -> Scorch -> Scorch on the same turn. I'm still kicking myself for round four... time was called after I had a runner game go very long in the first game, I got a bad case of tunnel vision with a scored Efficiency Committee and 0 credits, and I scored an NAPD Contract out of hand (double SfSS) for the timed win when I could have used the EC counters to draw credits and play Scorched Earth for the full win. Still frustrated with myself over that one, and that mistake dropped me into a true tie for first place.
Nonetheless... here it is folks, yet another iteration of Cerebral Imaging with Scorched Earth.
Admin Note That should be 2x Subliminal Messaging, not Successful Demonstration.

Doh. That should be 2 x Subliminal Messaging, not 2 x Successful Demonstration. Don't even know how that happened, I think I did a straight import from meteor to here. Ah well. |

The version I'm testing out right now took out an Archived Memories, a Wall of Static, and the Ichi 1.0 for another Eli 1.0 and two Heinlein Grids. Theoretically, the credit wipe w/Heinlein Grid in conjunction with nearly a full suite of bioroid ice should give you all the credit advantage you need to set up SEA Source. |

Thanks! HB (and Cerebral Imaging in particular) have always given off a Martell vibe in my opinion. (WARNING: Vague A Song of Ice and Fire spoilers follow...) I haven't gotten around to playing them in tournaments, but I have two more HB decks fairly similar to each other that I tweaked and playtested back and forth for a while. One's a dedicated rush deck and the other's fast advance. Since they were tested in conjunction, I named one "Quentyn's Rush" and the other "Rhaegal's Flame." =D |
seems good. Successful demo seems really funny to play after a runner thinks they are being cute and jacks out before accessing.
