I pretty immediately fell in love with this identity the first time I saw it. This is my newb take on it. I like being able to instantly protect a Director Haas and start gaining extra clicks quickly. I miss the strong econ of ETF, but I do love assembling Haas + Melange to explode with credits.

NEXT Gold's rez cost seems pretty steep for this deck unless you already have Melange going. NEXT Design's ability and diminished econ (compared to ETF) makes rez costs above 5 pretty difficult, IMO. Does the Netrunner community consider Director Haas completely unplayable? |

If you really want more clicks, you could try Mandatory Upgrades + Exchange of Information. I have heard of people trying that. It feels like a much safer plan. I kinda think the executives are unplayable, but they are interesting enough that a lot of people try to make them work. I am a nobody, so there's that. |

Don't listen to naysayers - Director Haas is a high-risk, high-reward card that shapes the game in really interesting ways. If it works for you, use it! It's a super cost-effective in-faction fast advance enabler, which plays well to the strengths of NEXT Design. If you can cash in on two or more 2-pointers before she gets trashed, then it has worked in your favor. Try guarding her with a surprise architect plus a second end-the-run ICE - that way, if you see the runner can handle the end-the-run ice you might be able to use architect to trash the director or install Ash before the runner gets there. There are many other cards that interact favorably with the Director. |

I appreciate all the thoughts! I'll continue to determine if the variance of Haas is worth it to me or if I'd rather try a less powerful but less risky option like Jeeves. |
Unfortunately, the best place for director Haas is in your archives. By including her you effectively increase your agenda density. By including 2 you basically have 11 agendas in the deck for the runner, but only 9 for you. Why no next gold?
