I had a horrible, terrible, genius idea:
Madani's never really clicked with me when playing Dewi - I install stuff too frequently from hand, and I rarely feel like I get a chance to load more than one or two programs. I definitely understand the rationale, but I also felt like I wanted a little more MU. Originally I was on Pantograph, but that also has some issues in a kill meta.
Then an idea came to me - Aniccam. Sure, the slots are a nightmare juggling act - you want programs for your ID, hardware for MU and simulchip, and events for Aniccam - but if you can thread the needle it does sort of all come together. I definitely appreciated the extra little safety blanket in kill matchups as well.
Overall in the tournament I played into 4 Au Co and 1 Clearinghouse kill RH.
Dewi vs Au Co is a very interesting matchup - if you have a good opening hand and can get to 4 MU to start playing the Dewi game before your hand starts getting shredded, then you're drawing cards exactly when you need to. Throw in a Knicknack, and you can control their board or hit centrals with almost no fear (but maybe a few Hail Mary's). Unlike other Shaper IDs though, if you get a rough hand and early damage hits key cards, you might have to accept a blank ID for a chunk of the game as contesting the board can make it hard to fill MU. Overall 3-1 into Egg, a record I was very very happy with.
Kill RH made me regret cutting Pinholes - I couldn't really contest a Skunkvoid remote without them, and I was a credit short on a final dig once I hit 6 points. After that, Clearinghouse + Fuji running me out of cards in deck sealed the game.
This deck's really experimental but I'm very happy with it (esp the 1x Khusyuk - I was getting 5s or 6s on turn 3). However, this almost certainly not the ideal combination of slots for the list, and if you're curious I encourage you to grab and tinker with it!
