You thought Whizzard was killed by Boom!? Lies!
This deck carried me to 17th place at UK nats with a 5:1 record (had a bye). My runner Andy did less well.
The only loss was to Alex White's Desperado Whizz, who top decked a philotic with one card left in hand and none in the stack.
Other than that, it beat a Kit (on stream round 6), a Hayley and three Whizzards (two Desperado, one Siphon). In the last round, it killed Theo's Whizz on turn 2 or 3. He had proudly installed all three of his beloved peddlers, but ran without enough money to install and use the paperclip from underneath. What a fitting way to end my last competitive pre-rotation game!
There have been a fair number of AgInfusion decks around, and this one is similar to most, relying on Caprice Nisei, Excalibur and Nisei MK II to score.
It stands out by going all-in on an absurd amount of operation econ, rather than spending influence and slots on special tech (except Crisium Grid). There's enough "tech" in the agenda composition, ID ability and ice composition, so that I focus all slots on efficiency.
Another noteworthy feature are the News Hounds, even though I only run one current myself. That's fine, no need to spend four slots on currents!
The only thing I would change is to fit a second Fast Track. You really want to exploit any scoring window, and you always want to score in the correct Nisei, Nisei, 3-pointer sequence.
This is really fun to play, but can maybe be frustrating to play against. It delivers in an aspect where a lot of Netrunner failed to deliver: Your ice actually fires. More than once.
Thanks for all the UK players for having us over, we'll be back for Euros and Nats next year!
