Papercleaver #49@Worlds_23

After Polish Nats where I played a 48-card Hermes deck, I leaned towards a pile of 50 good reg Anarch cards. The deck did quite OK on the day.

It's weakness can be seen in my only game on stream, last round of Swiss against the reigning champion, who then advanced to top16 and won the whole thing. We had to play a 241 so that one of us got a chance to play in the top cut (game starts around 00:21:00): Link

So there you have it. The Price install (Maw) trashes the second copy of Cleaver (because why would I want to have two on the table) and later the corp gets rid of the installed Cleaver when a window of scoring opportunity appears. Already missing the Clippy. This effectively locked me out of all servers that mattered in that game. The fun thing is I played a lot of scenarios in my head in that match, especially at the beginning, not knowing the BtL list - including if I have to play around Oppo. SDS was something to be expected, so that's on me. And yet when I was thinking about this game after it ended I still wasn't sure if I wouldn't make the same decision again in a similar situation. GG, Sokka saw the line and went for it.

Lessons learned (in all tournament games):

1.Liberated slow

2.Bankhar needed, even 2 copies for lockouts like with BtL & possible early/mid pressure.

Thanks to my opponents: Yidaho, plural, manveruppd, Coval, Krasty, MissPanic, Vale, Fridan, Sokka234. It was a pleasure to play the best game in the world with you. A huge thank you to NSG, Mar & all people involved in making the tournament happen. I had a blast! Finally, shoutout to Polish players with whom I spent much needed quality time in Barca :)
