From Zero to Nero

  1. 419 was a criminal. Nero is a criminal.
  2. 419 had a link. Nero has a link.
  3. 419 was good. Nero is... good?

Theory: Criminals with link are good. Nero's ID ability lets you run more freely and get you out of nasty Ganked! combos involving a sentry, but is nowhere near as universal as 419. So, I played up the link a bit more, having Reflection to gain value off of those sick Nero jack outs and give a second link to use for powering up DreamNet.

The goodness:

  • Street Magic: with Nero and this card installed, you can facecheck with ease

  • Atman + Caldera: anti-Jinteki grinder package. Haven't gotten into a game against that deck yet, but the idea is Atman on 3 can break both Sadaka and Mganga. You def want to establish the Atman3 before installing Caldera if you want to run, bc the deck has no way to recur Caldera from a Sadaka.

  • Egret: You can't jack out! That is a code gate! OH WAIT. Mostly a meme, but can allow bouncing for TTW counters with Nero.

I am currently 10 games in and have a 80% win rate on the jnet casual lobby. The gameplay is nothing fancy, thus I don't have much advice: it plays like reg crim with a few neat tricks. Also, don't do an Atman on 8. But that is just general life advice.
