Hidden Assets

I've always loved stealth decks, paying for ice just annoys me :) Usually my stealth decks have been relatively poor, super efficient runs but not much raw cash. In games so far, this one breaks that mold.

Basics

Econ engine is aesops', pro-co, and technical writer basically backed up a ton of things to sell. Breaker suite is stealth with refractor being the best code breaker out there. Dagger can get expensive on some ice, but multi-threader helps and not using the influence on Switchblade and silencers is definitely worth some extra credits.

Notes on Card Choices

Harbinger: This and tech writer is what brings the econ package to the next level. 1/2 click to install Harbinger for 0 and net-6 credits from it over the next 2 turns through aesop's ... nuts. And it doesn't use memory ... whaaa. Makes Aesoping Cache ho-hum which is saying something.

Technical Writer: Easy to get 6+ credits on this (and much more if you don't need the money right now). At worst you install for 1/2 click of Hayley ability and sell to Aesop's for 3. Using these + scheherazde while installing cheap programs and making money makes you forget all about Kate.

Bank Job: Costs influence but now-a-days open servers are everywhere (plus stealth can get by 1-2 ice for cheap if need be). Hard to argue with net-9 credits (after aesop's) for 2 clicks.

Kati Jones: Kati's always makes impressive money. Actually maybe superflous here, but gives econ boost and if it get chronos'd late then a security blanket.

Scheherazde: Only a 1-of so hard to find in general, but if game looks to be non-rush then I'll smc for it early, just makes a ton of money if early. Having tech writers out and installing programs on scheherazde is so efficient. Power shutdown is a thing though, so don't host Dagger or Refractor.

New Angeles City Hall: Anticipating the tag-storm plus have already been burnt by the 24/7 decks. This is there to help. It's brittle as a 1-of before you find film critic so not sure if I'll keep. But a cheap resources for Hayley's ability that I can sell to aesop's so what the heck.

Professional Contacts: Could go with other draw packages but after playing 1/2 dozen variations on Hayley that ProCo is an auto-include in Hayley. My average uses is always over 2 per-turn and pro-co nets 20+ credits almost every game.

Imp: Could be a scruber but had the influence and clone chips. Essential in the NEH turtlebacks-sponsorship matchup.

Clot: Even more essential vs. NEH

Multithreader: Makes the mid-to-end game rig even cheaper plus can use with SMC. Not that important, so only 1-of but really nice to have by the time you start trying to R&D lock.

Levy: Most don't games don't long enough, but security blanket card (I have several of those ...)

Mulligans

Keep if:

- Professional Contacts

- Aesop's

- Bank Job / Imp (with some other money) in the NEH match-up

- Scheherazade + TW(s) + cheap programs (Harbinger, Cache being best)

- Astrolabe if against a remote spam deck.

Weaknesses - Professional Contacts only a 2-of so can be variable and might end up drawing a fair bit. But pro-co is not essential so can stop digging hard if get Aesop's and stuff to sell. In many match-ups (looking at you Turtlebacks) an astrolabe will find pro-co by itself.

  • Takes time to get setup both breakers and econ. You will be poor for the first 3-4 rounds guaranteed even with pro-co and hitting a few money things (bank job/cache/kati). Until Aesop's gets rolling then you will have a steady stream of good money.

  • Only 7 stealth pieces (2 lock, 2 cloak, 3 ghost runner) so can get stuck trying to find enough to get into a 2+-stealth needed server. Only 2 smc's might be the wrong choice since can sell them to aesop's if "dead draws" but hard to find cuts. Atman might help but it's costly to install.

  • 46 cards ... yeah well, it's the plascrete + film critic tax.

Thanks for getting to the bottom of the rambling. Questions and comments welcome.
