Sadly you're playing against the wrong kind of guy

Suprisingly this deck is still undefeated. I know that winning on Jinteki doesn't mean much and even wins during casual meetups are not a prove. It only says that execution of the bad idea is decent. By no means I'm gonna say this deck is competitive, but man it"s fun to play.

It started when I won a wooden RP ID during the PSI-games, and promised to play it when I got it. I also promised not to play the dull RP deck that was wrecking the meta back then. When I received the ID a week ago I decided to bring back an old favorite of mine: RP scorched

AGENDAS

Nothing fancy here. I didn't have the influence left to play one GFI and don't want to play another 5/3 except for TFP, so I went with the 9 agenda build. Nisei to improve our Vegan win condition. If the runner knows what you're doing it's pretty easy to get an easy scoring window because they have to be carefull. If you have a nisei scored you can just play "Old RP" with a caprice in the scoring remote and some taxing ICE Fetals are snares 4-6 and spice the R&D even more, also those pesky Faust players really enjoy this :p

ASSETS & UPGRADES

Your standard RP econ engine. Throw in some snares to do some dmg and don't forget the tags, they are pretty usefull. Caprice is there to have a scoring threat if the kill might fail. It's pretty hard to kill through a plascrete. Shocks are a flex. I figured out really late that genetics pavilion doesn't trigger on the corps turn, so the dream to double scorch through an IHW is gone.

OPERATION

2 scorched is necessary. I chose 1 SEA& 1 AM because often people will float tags wich means double scorched (SE SE or SE AM SE) is way more consistent. But I think I'm gonna play 2 SEA from now on, because with the shocks I see a lot of people ending their turn with less than 4 cards. It is also great to kill an early Wyldside, Aesops or proco when they are astill poor.

ICE

I don't want to spend too much money on my ICE. I don't need them to keep the runner out of my servers. It only needs to tax them.

-6 cheap ETR's

-6 2 cred taxing ICE (yagura and pup), seriously yagura is amazing especially against faust

-3 hunters have done some wonders. You can't ignore them and 3 (or 2) creds or 2 cards isn't nothing. Also sometimes you get a kill because they run it last click and you boost the trace by 20 because they cant break a 4 strength sentry and you got the kill in hand.

-1 kitsune for a last click snare, less good in the AI meta but still decent.

FINAL THOUGHTS

*Play the mindgames: If they see a hunter and raise their eyebrows, explain why the card is good in the current wyldcakes meta. You don't want them to think to long about why you include hunters in RP

*It's pretty easy to recognise when they see a combopiece in R&D, just look at their face. Also if you're sure they found it's pretty cool to say "You were not supposed to see that" in a very creepy way :p .

*Use your scoring windows, don't focus to hard on the kill. And watch your opponent when he knows what you're doing. If he's playing too carefull use that to your advantage.

*The absolute best thing about this deck, is that after you played this people will randomly drop plascretes if you act weird with another deck. They respect how crazy you are and even getting rich with HB the next day when they don't see any influence is starting to seem suspicious.

Even just the deck name is wonderful. Love it.
