Pro tip: this deck works way better if you don't run out of printer paper the night before an event, and then somehow forget to copy down your Deep Dives when you handwrite your decklist at the event. Don't be like me. At least the first Deep Dive of the tournament was in the Top Cut when this mistake was realised.
Everyone knows and loves (or hates) Spark Kit. This deck was inspired by SpaceGhost's Trashcan of Inspiration and was one of 3 Kit decks taken to Scottish Regionals by the Dundee crew.
It's a very good deck for getting through Swiss rounds (4th at the Scottish Regionals and 12th at the Midlands Regional can attest to that), but I had a very tough time in the Top Cut against Corp decks that were built extremely tough with players who know how to counter it. I was also exhausted and drew pretty poorly in both games... and had an illegal deck.
Things this deck does a little differently:
2x Test Run instead of Compile, Retrieval Run or any other recursion. Personal preference but I like how it interacts with Spark of Inspiration. Discarding a breaker that you drew in your opening hand to Test Run it on top of your stack after drawing a Spark feels nicer than the other interactions I've tested.
2x Deep Dives. A lot of lists I saw when I originally built this deck were Deep Dive Kit or Cataloguer Kit. Not a lot doing both. Cataloguer Kit inspires a Corp play style that is quite easy to exploit with a Deep Dive. If they don't see one coming they are generally going have a massively iced R&D and a massive remote server, with the other two centrals relatively unprotected. There's nothing more satisfying than a 1 turn win because you Trick Shot R&D, steal an agenda or two from the double access, then run the remote to steal another, then win the game with an unexpected Deep Dive. The problem with having Deep Dive as an extra win condition is that this list doesn't have any way to gain additional clicks, so your Deep Dive turn has no room for Corp disruption (MCA, Border Control, etc. are all things I ran into at the tournament).
Trickster Taka instead of Mystic Maemi. Personal preference again, I find that Taka pays off better, as it's incredibly easy to exhaust all of your run events by the late game, and Taka can help you force a Cataloguer or Deep Dive setup.
