Deck valid after Fourth Rotation |
I love fast advance out of Weyland, my local meta know that I love me some advanceable ICE, and I also love the idea of slotting a kill package around a FA deck (à la the Coattails decks of yesteryear (props to Ghost Meat for that nugget).
I've been having a blast with Built To Last since it came out, and after having played almost exclusively Startup since then, I thought I'd retool my Startup list for Standard ahead of the Asia/Pacific Continentals this weekend. Cue my decision that has been a number of years in the making, to unofficially retire from competitive level Netrunner; I just can't handle the stresses involved in playing in the tournament scene, and I end up dropping plays left, right, and centre.
I think I'll stick to TOing, at least that gives me an excuse for placing low😅.
The basics of the deck are to:
If the Runner slips, you blow them To The Moon (my original working title for the deck).
Now the scoring can be super weird and convoluted, most can let you advance your 3/2s, but when combined, you can pull some neat tricks:
With these you can score 5-7 of your agendas from hand (this includes Hostile Takeover).
Now the ICE isn't going to do a super good job of keeping the Runner out late game, but it serves its purpose:
Hortum can fetch your kill or FA pieces if triple advanced, and Macrophage and mess up runners that rely on viruses.
Now the real science that I've found from playing this is what ICE to advance, and what to Trick of Light advancements from:
The rest of the deck is pretty straight forward:
In closing, while this deck is probably no where near as good as a Titan deck with kill package, it's a blast to play, and I've had a lot of good feedback from most of the players that have gone up against it as far as it being interesting and the like.
