Here is the trick: test run the best program early, and scavenge/eureka it afterwards to avoid paying for it. Recur with same old thing if necessary. Best first targets seem to be Femme and Torch. Your optimal rig is minimal : 3 breakers and a few resources. If you need it, Dinosaurus is there to scavenge a Morning Star or Garrote on it, or to be able to play the two Femme with a decoder and a fracter on the table.

Well I think that Armitage is burst economy VS Daily Casts which is trickle econ. So it depends on the circumstances. 2 X Femmes gives you flexibility about which piece of ICE that you want to overcome by bypassing it, and not having it "dedicated" to a single piece of ICE. Love it! |

Do you need 3x Katie? I think 2 copies are good, because you dont want two on the board. So here is my suggestion:
I like the Idea of using Eureka! very much. Thanks for sharing! |

Did you find the Prepaid PADs to pull their weight, or would you have been better off with a different card?
Dropping Tinkering would be a really bad idea - Kit usually wants to run more than 3 copies of that card, as it's your ticket into any server that isn't 3-deep or deeper. Also, I don't think QT is necessary - if anything, I'd try to fit in Escher. |

I'm not certain the addition of datasucker would be great in this deck, as the cost on MU could be penalizing. As it is, you can actually play 3 breakers without encountering dinosaurus and be fine with that (whether it is torch/femme/femme or one of each). Griffinstone is right about armitage, what matters is actually to be able to get some money after having played test run + run + eureka within a single or two turns. You want to do it as early as possible in the game and it actually cost quite a lot. Two katies seem sufficient indeed, at least coming from the games I have played; but removing tinkering or maker's eyes sucks: tinkering is very useful to get in a remote mid to late game and maker's eyes is my only way to attack efficiently R&D :( I did not consider QT+same old thing, though, it's a good point, considering that it could help me draw the events I need (test run is key in this deck). That would at least be: -1 Katie About prepaid voicepad, I'm still on the fence about it. It's awesome with dirty laundry, and it repay for itself in two turn when playing test run folllowed by eureka, but I never know what to do when I have prepaid voicepad and hedge fund in my starting hand. Any decision I make feels suboptimal... But I guess that's a minor thing. I have to admit I have not tested the deck enough to know how solid the deck's economy is and how much prepaid helps it. |

The only play that makes sense to me in that situation* is "credit, PAD, sure gamble". If that feels too suboptimal, you probably shouldn't be playing the PADs, as you'll never get more value out of them than you do this way. *unless you also have another event costing at least 1, that is. Basically, I'd try to use the PAD's credit on the turn I play it, to make it start pulling its weight. |

I've been playing with a similar idea-- big icebreakers. The Femmes are great because anything you can't bust through with a Morningstarosaurus becomes chopped liver. And Tinkering is extra-useful because your opponent will assume you're going to use torch to break through that Tinkered Tsurugi... they'll be disappointed it only cost 1 to get through, not 4. My econ is all Mopus which I'm not thrilled with exactly but it works okay. MU is a bit tight so I took a hardware approach-- lots of replicators so I can find and install/discard multiples. I loaded up on Lockpicks, which get a lot of use. Now that I've written all this, I wonder if Kate is the better ID for what I'm trying to do. |

and second, what do you want to Scavenge if you dont have programs for it? Weird. |
I think Datasucker would be a really good addition for Morning Star in case you can't get dinosaurus out (or even if you can, in case you run into Hadrian's), maybe cut a femme and a voicepad? Also, what do you think about Daily casts over Armitage to conserve on clicks since your central strat involves either Test Run + Eureka or Test run + Scavenge?
