1st Place Düsseldorf SC: Coinflipteki

This deck went 4-1 at the Düsseldorf SC (16p), with wins against Ayla (turn 2 kill), Smoke, Valencia and Maxx and one loss against another Maxx. Sovereign Sight was not legal yet.

Gameplan

  • Protect R&D, Kakugo is ideal for this job

  • Mushin + advance as often as possible

  • Recur your Mushins and repeat previous step

  • If they eat a trap, you can (probably) kill them with your id OR If they let 2 agendas slip through, win with CanP adv adv

Also

  • Don't be predictable (or scared to Mushin those TFP's)

  • If you can't find Mushin (or LPL) just IAA, and AA them later (4adv. cards are really dangerous and scary for your opponent)

  • Milling the runner is also a viable option

  • The main reason why this deck actually works, is that people don't really know how to play against it.

  • It is really fun and relaxing to play :-)

Nice Decks! Would you add Gene Splicer and what to cut for it?

How do you deal with damage-prevention ? (Caldera for example)

@MazeBerlin: I don't think Gene Splicer is needed in this deck. The way this deck scores out is 2x3-pointers and a CanP. You can replace CanP with Gene Splicer, but it seems like a less consistent way of getting that last point. And having another card that you need to mushin/adv would make the deck slower to score out. Also with Gene Splicer you would run the risk of getting it trashed in centrals or just getting it defused by a faceplant. The 3-4 net dmg doesn't compensate for this, imo.

@Sutlomatsch: Caldera and FF are annoying. Criminals play Caldera, but there were 0 of them at the tournament (new minifaction confirmed). Anarchs often trust in their Levy/FC, and that is doable. Shapers can play FF but same as Caldera, it's just a singleton against PU to not get milled. So if they are lucky enough to draw it just go as fast as possible. They might not die as easily, but they can't keep paying 24 credits when they hit a junebug, and don't forget Overwriter is still a huge threat to them.

one little correction: Overwriter would be less dangerous with Caldera than Junebug, since it is just 12 c with 4 counter(asuming you would pay the full golden price).

Yeah that's true, Caldera is indeed more annoying than FF, but besides criminal (and Sunny) I haven't seen anybody actually run it.

You can counter Caldera (and FC) with Voter Intimidation I suppose. It would be a decent include.

Would you try Genotyping instead of Preemptive Action?

@ryanbantwinsDo you have an updated decklist, I'm really curious what you have/would change. SSL Endorsement, psychic field (since 419), any R&R ice? Also I've been playing with ngo front a lot and I thinks it's an amazing bluff. I also think biotic is very good in this list so you can score CanP from hand safely so the runner does not feel pressured to run while you are only at 3 points. I think a one of back can make you a ton of value from a failed trap that's been sitting out. I think ronin is kinda an important threat too, I'd like to know your opinion. Maybe we could have a discussion on discord? Archer#2305 <-(Discord id)
