Drawing Jes

gabysbrain 9

I’ve had versions of this deck for a few months now. The deck is really centered around Professional contacts. You need 3 of them to get a good chance of drawing them early and once you install it then you want to use it a bunch of times to make it worth your while. Out of the ashes is a great card to overdraw with. Essentially you’re banking runs for later turns. Mulligan for Professional contacts and maybe a sure gamble. Put down your ProCo and then start clicking with it to get your rig set up. I usually click two or three times depending on how many cards I want to install that turn. The stealth breakers seem to give the best mix of influence, strength, and setup speed. You’re drawing so often that you can get a basic rig set up pretty quickly. I’m thinking of removing Self-modifying code to tutor cards because of how often I’m drawing. The final pieces of the puzzle are Account Siphon, Turning Wheel, and R&D aggression. The idea is to make it impossible for the corp to concentrate protection on just one of their central servers. If they ice up one server heavily then you just start hitting the other one.

Jesminder goes through tagging ice like a hot knife through butter. Cards like Data Raven, Data Ward, and Turnpike are essentially blank with this ID.

The key other card choices are below.

  • Account Siphon: Jes and account siphon go really well together, especially with Aaron Maron to clear out the additional tags.
  • Indexing: With Top Hat this is not just a card to search for an agenda in the top 5 cards of R&D. If you don’t see an agenda after indexing, put an asset on top, run and trash it, and then start running with top hat just asking to see card 5.
  • Maya: Again, you can start rearranging R&D to give the corp the cards they don’t want and putting the others on the bottom of R&D. With all the corp recursion cards, putting things on the bottom of R&D seems better than putting them in archives.
  • Top Hat: With shaper I always end up knowing the top few cards of R&D but they’re operations or something. Top Hat gives me the option to keep running R&D and seeing new cards.
  • Aaron Marron: This is primarily for removing tags from Midseasons Replacements or Hard-Hitting News but also combos well with Account Siphon.
  • Beth Kilrain-Chang: Maybe this doesn’t combo so well with an Account Siphon spam deck but I find I get extra clicks and cash while getting set up.
  • The Turning Wheel: I like this better for multi-access than R&D Interface or HQ Interface because it sort of combines the two.
  • Equivocation: This card plus Top Hat means that you can see a new card every R&D run. Plus you can put any traps sitting on top of R&D in HQ.

I’m not a very good netrunner player and this isn’t a top tier deck but it is fun to play. Of course, comments are welcome :)

Good question, I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote that. She doesn't
