Update with a few tweaks and a whole lot less bad pub. I want to see how Argus does without Profiteering - I'm expecting the trade-off will mean fewer guaranteed tags, but a more robust mid-late scoring game, which is where Argus normally falls on its arse if the runner's managed to avoid getting killeded.
Also want to give Bailiff a spin as a sort-of-Pop-up Window.
Comments & suggestions welcome!

False Lead's just a really good threat that forces the runner to play in a tighter box than they otherwise would. It can make HHN tags stick, and normally means they can't risk more than 1 tag per turn (so Casting Calls, PriSecs etc do a lot more work). My ongoing plan here's to develop a strong midrange Argus that balances a credible scoring plan with a constant tag 'n' bag threat, so it's just a slightly different take on Supermodernism I guess. It'd definitely be nice to trade the Archers for something as they can really set back the scoring game. You do need ice with real stopping power later on though, and it's hard to think of a better option at present! |
My Argus Door Kickers deck is similar to this, but I've found Casting Call to be much much more effective than the third Snare. How's False Lead been for you? Whenever I use it the clicks never seem to line up in the right way, so I switched to Underway Renovation, which is hilarious with Casting Call along with one or more Prisec's. Does your deck primarily wait for a kill oppurtunity or does it seek to rush out like Seamumodernism? If it's the latter, I'd cut out the Archers and switch to cheaper ICE. Just some thoughts.
