Some New Card Ideas

I came up with a few cards ideas awhile back. You'll notice a couple of them have since had similar cards released. It is because of that, that I decided to post the few card ideas I have. I included a brief description of my reasoning on each too. Feedback and criticism is welcome as long as it is constructive. (Forgive some of the names, they aren't that good.)

Morph: Program - Install: 2 - Memory: 1 - Influence: 2 (Shaper) Name a subtype and install Morph only on a rezzed piece of ICE. Host ICE gains the named subtype.

Hosted programs are interesting and I feel there is more ground to explore. Parasite is too powerful and the Caissas are not that good. This would be especially good for Kit.

Micro Sapper: Program - Install: 3 - Memory: 1 - Influence: 2 (Criminal) Install Micro Sapper only on a rezzed piece of ICE. Host ICE gains the subroutine: "The Runner gains 2" after all its other subroutines.

A card to recoup some of the costs of running at big ICE like DNA Tracker. If placed on a smaller piece, the Corp may end up trashing it.

Corrupted Data: Event - Cost: 2 - Influence: 3 (Criminal) Play only if you made a successful run on R&D and HQ this turn. Add Corrupted Data to an agenda in either score area as a hosted condition counter with the text, "The text box of this agenda is blank."

A card with a ton of uses. Place on a loaded Astro or Corporate Sales Team. Most excitingly, place it on a stolen Global Foods or 15 Minutes.

E.T. Chip: Hardware - Install: 2 - Influence: 2 (Shaper) Install E.T. Chip only on a non-stealth icebreaker. The cost to break subroutine(s) of host icebreaker is reduced by one but not to less than one.

This could breath some life into old cards like Aurora, Darwin, and Sage.

Auto Barrier: ICE Barrier- Rez: 3 - Strength: 2 - Influence: 0 (Neutral) 1 Credit: Rez Auto Barrier paying all costs. You may use this ability during any paid ability window.
End the Run. End the Run.

This will combat the annoying DDoS/False Echo combo. It'll put a damper in stupid Blackmail BS. It will also help versus the Snitch/Au Revoir/The Turning Wheel combo. And it'll be nice to have when facing Leela.

Cyberdex Virus Killer: ICE Sentry - Rez: 3 - Strength: 1 - Influence: 0 (Neutral) The strength of Cyberdex Virus Killer cannot be lowered. Purge virus counters. Trash a virus. End the run.

Macrophage is great, this is just a very similar card I came up with awhile ago.

Hedging Bets: Resource - Install: 3 - Influence: 2 (Shaper) One link The corp can only spend zero or two on psi games.

Government Investigations probably won't ever see play because it is useless versus most decks except to trash a corp current. This had an additional use with the link.

Recycler: Resource (Unique) - Install: 3 - Influence: 1 (Neutral) When your turn begins, you may pay one to shuffle a random card from your heap into your stack.

There are only two cards that recur a bunch of cards. Levy costs 3 influence and is expensive. Trope has to charge for a bunch of turns. Criminals especially may be screwed if they happen to lose an icebreaker to damage or program trashing. And damage decks may "deck" the runner fairly quickly. I played a PU deck awhile back and I had Employee Strike up for pretty much the whole game but I still ran out of cards quickly. This will help recur some cards. Of course as a resource it can be trashed.

Gambler: Asset - Rez: 0 - Trash: 1 - Influence: 0 (Neutral) You have two more influence in your deck. If the runner trashes this card, add it to the runners score area as an agenda worth one agenda point. Limit one per deck.

I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not. I just thought of it yesterday.

Now I'd like to take this opportunity to share some of my "fixes" for some recently released cards. I have a problem mostly with the influence costs on some new cards. I've always thought that the more powerful a card, the more it should cost in influence. The designers have apparently forgotten this or have decided that that is no longer true. Anyway...

Temujin Contract: 3 influence.

Sifr: 3 influence. Take a net damage on use instead of reducing hand size (play your cards right and the reduced hand size thing doesn't matter at all). Mitigate damage with Net Shield.

Friends in High Places: 2 influence. Trash cost of 2.

Chiyashi: One card milled per sub broken when an AI is installed. Having over 13% of your deck milled if you are using an AI is just absurd.

Net Mercur: Activates only on the first run each turn. Stealth decks have always had the following characteristics in my mind. Breakers that are cheap to install and hyper efficient. But with only a finite amount of stealth credits. I think that was balanced, but with Net Mercur, it is actually difficult to run out of stealth credits.

And lastly, IDs that should have less influence. IG, Blue Sun, and Leela.

Anyway, these are my thoughts. Some of the cards probably would need tweaking or might just need to be thrown out. Again, constructive criticism welcome. Thanks for reading.

Love these ideas. I always wanted a hardware:

Multi-runner - Hardware - Install Coat 5 2(click) - play up to x run events whose text does not conflict with each other. Make a run on a server, using these run events. x is the number of Multi-runners installed

I figure this would be Adam or Criminal, due to the Theme. I always wanted a way to play more that one event, like a stimhack and an inside job.
