Games and Stuff Store Championship | #1 of 21 | thebigunit3000 |
This deck is still good even as a known quantity. Not knowing that it's packing HHN is a huge liability, but even knowing, it's very hard to play around.
The gameplan is to throw down Jeeves and central ICE early while playing the obligatory CI Clearances. If they come out aggressive, you hope to hit them with HHN (or Stinson if they're not playing around that). If HHN lands, you can use Boom to finish them off, or Closed Accounts to rocket yourself ahead in combination with Stinson.
If they're moneying up and sitting back, you pivot to setting up a scoring remote and score out, either with MCA or just by throwing an agenda in. Versus Shapers, the taxing remote is very important -- you want to put pressure on them early to crack SMCs for breakers so that they aren't able to also find Misdirection.
Scarcity was the clear MVP in this deck -- getting rid of EStrike and stymieing resource econ were key in games in the cut. First card on the chopping block for me would be IPO, possibly for another NGO Front.
I played three games with this on CodeMarvelous' stream here (3rd round Swiss, and twice in the cut): https://alwaysberunning.net/tournaments/1207/games-and-stuff-store-championship#
