Flatlined But Not Forgotten

impulse101 1

Have you seen your best runner decks flatlined before their time? You've stolen 6 points and accidentally dipped to 3 cards in the process only to have your house burned down?

Not anymore.

Introducing "Flatlined But Not Forgotten".

The idea of this deck is simple. Get a 2 or 3 card per turn mill factory up whilst building credits.

The Engine

Try to get the following cards installed as quickly as possible:

  • 1 x Crash Space
  • 2 of data folding or daily casts
  • 1 Data Link Reversal
  • 1 John Masanori

Then, the turn before the mill starts, spend your turn installing snitch and installing what you can.

Bonus installs before engine starts:

  • Hades / Utopia shard
  • Fall Guy (as many as possible)

Begin Milling

  • Run any server with ice (preferably with Early Bird). Always run newly installed ice. You'll need to know what ice there is, more on that later.
  • Snitch and jack out, taking tag, hopefully with 1c from Au Revoir
  • Mill 2x with DLR
  • Remove tag with Crash Space
  • REPEAT

Logos

Logos is the special sauce in this deck. Since you aren't actively attempting to score agendas, the corp will inevitably catch on and start scoring. What card you pull depends on the context, but I tend to pull the following cards:

  • I've Had Worse
  • Early Bird (extra mill)
  • Utopia/Hades Shard
  • ANY PART MISSING FROM THE ENGINE ABOVE

Winning

On the click in which the runner is at game point and they've just put the 2nd/4th counter on a card, pop Hades Shard (you remembered to install that right!?).

Crypsis

Here's the thing. Snitch is really really good in this deck, because it tells you what is runnable. There are 2 crypsis in this deck for a reason. If you've amassed 20+ credits and they're using the same 2x iced scoring remote, YOU SHOULD ALREADY KNOW WHAT ICE THEY ARE. Install Crypsis, run that remote. Get a head start on your hades pop at the end of the game.

Invincible

Since finalizing this deck, I've almost never been killed. With 3 I've Had Worse in hand, you just won't get killed.
