Deck valid after Sixth Rotation |
This is the deck I brought to Sovereign of Subways after having played it a bunch at local NYC meetups. It didn't drop any games, winning three and tying one (we got a bye in R1 as well).
The deck is based on Jai's Midnight Mission, splashing in the Retributions from Sparrow Brawler to really slow down the runner if they decided to float a single tag. I previously played both decks separately and felt like this was a good mix of the asset econ of the former with the more aggressive tag punishment of the latter.
I threw in Behold! at the last minute to throw off the tag-clearing math of run-happy opponents trying to trash everything with Imp, and because it's also a decent thing to stack R&D with using Federal Fundraising. The Hydra's a pet card but rezzing it for 3 is an incredible feeling. You can probably cut it for something else, though.
SoS was a fantastic event, and it was really cool to put so many faces to usernames and to see so many folks from the NYC community in a tournament setting. Thank you to wyld and JasonILTG for being great teammates who helped me with last minute deck tweaks. And I can't even begin to imagine the amount of work that went into this tournament, so serious props to Cado for running an incredible stream, and to kysra for putting this whole thing together and keeping it together.
