1st place at Shuffle & Cut store champs (La Habra, CA) on March 24th with 4 players. Undefeated against 2 Kim and 1 Ken.
A year ago I took the same SC with a very similar Sol deck based on a @spags
deck. Funny enough that deck also had 2 Navi Mumbai City Grid to fight Aaron. This deck now has them to fight the pirate decks, which I think it's probably its worse MU. They can be replaces by a 3rd Crisium Grid and a 3rd NGO Front.
Apart from the Sol deck, this was also inspired by @TheBigBoy
Azmari build. I made a few changes, because I really hate losing to Mad Dash and I prefer to have better ice.
Data Ward is quite positional, but if you can play around it, it becomes a monster, and with a lot of runner playing some sort of AI, you can also put it behind an IP Block. 3 Toolbooths is definitely the right choice and the deck can most of the time afford them. News Hound is probably the best piece of ice in the game and there is no reason for not playing them with Scarcity available for free. Apart from the Pirate decks, which you can fight with Navi, this deck can also struggle against Hunting Grounds. But with at least 9 pieces of ice (12 with IP Block if they have an AI) with "When encounter" effects, you can play around it quite well.
In my opinion, this is a straight up much better version of my previous Sol Glacier builds, and it's my favorite glacier deck in a very long time. If you, like me, have joy by watching the runner dumping loads of credits in a single run, give this a try!
