For me, Clones Are Not People is the current that pushes Sol from just a fun second string NBN ident to one that is worth playing over Harp or NEH (not that this means it is necessarily a better deck than Shop or a Harp deck). It turns Breaking News and 15 Minutes into more than 24/7 fodder or just the closing agenda of a game. And Sol makes it virtually permanent.
If you've played a SOL deck before, you'll notice not a lot has changed. Targeted Marketing is in largely to make sure the runner never has a current and that News Hound is always on, although the introduction of Archangel leads to it going from a rare lucky 10 creds to a way of entrapping a runner into either not playing a breaker you know they have in their hand or handing you a huge money lead.
The math on agenda points is interesting with "Clones". Usually, I try to score a 3/2 with it out the first time, setting me up at three. If things are really going well, I'll have another one available to load into the current slot, and with another one two 2/1s wins the game (if that 3/2 happened to be astro, fast track increases the odds of this happening).
I've played about ten games now, and what it seems to do for NBN is create a greater fast advance consistency without the need for Biotic. I'm not sure if that's necessarily good enough to play this over the cracked monster that is NEH, but I'm having fun with it.
