I am of the opinion that the cloud breaker suite is not the best way to go. While they are efficient credit-wise, they are inefficient click wise. The draw power is nice, but you need even more setup to get your breakers out.
I have found I am enjoying the OCA build (Off-Campus Apartments). It provides draw power for installing tools for low influence and has no requirements. It is protected by Fall Guy (resource) and, more importantly, it draws to replace. This gives you much more flexibility in how you want to deal with the cards you draw.
Originally I went for three Street Peddlers. While they are great for digging (4 cards total with the draw from OCA), the deck had one big weakness. No R&D multi access. I traded out two of them for an Interface.
Connections- the main power of the deck.
Kati Jones- a given.
Decoy- great for keeping your OCA alive and saving time/money from a siphon.
Fall Guy- amazing card for Giest. You can get 2 credits and a card, or protect something from being trashed.
Tri-maf Contact- Although it can be click intensive, the ability to have Magnum Opus clicks should never be underestimated. Even if it is only once a turn. The draw back is easily avoided by the above cards.
Compromised Employee- This has done FAR more work than I honestly expected it to. One or two of them early is a great boon. They can make first encounters of ice free, or even profitable. The re-occurring credits function as a pseudo link. You generally will only need them once a turn. Either to help pay into an Ash trace, or to pay for the next turn Mid-Season. (Because what Giest deck respects Sea source if they have anything setup?)
John Masanori- With crash space and decoy, a failed run doesn't hurt more than perhaps an extra click. But who runs last click except against RP these days? He isn't integral to the deck, but he is nice to have, so he gets a 1 of.
The Supplier- another decent 1-of. I honestly didn't have anything to fill the slot that wasn't redundant. If you get him early, he is great economy. Either way another connection for Calling in Favors.
Other card choices-
Desperado- I could run this deck without a console. It seems strange to me to do so, but I would need to find something very worthwhile to not have a console ability of some kind. Of the available consoles, Desperado offers the most to the deck as I am not running link. The extra memory is nice and the extra economy helps keep your credit pool up. It isn't much, but every little bit helps.
Special order- it is mostly as a second Corroder until that is drawn. It has already saved me a couple of times in testing.
HQ Interface- I am not running legwork.
Clone chip- there is no recursion in faction. Good For Faeries and Rex.
Rex- Honestly a decent breaker. Not as outstanding as Lady (what is?!), but you save on multi-subroutine ice and influence for a remote breaker. If they are code gate heavy, you can have two installed or just passport for the centrals.
Calling in Favors- there is too much setup for 3 of them but the burst economy is great. 7-9 is a good average value.
Thank you for reading. I am always open to suggestions to ideas to improve the deck's speed and efficiency.
