This is a version of Longis Annoying boat list to adapted the current meta.
It went 3:0 (1 draw against Watzlav) on a fast-advance/kill NEH list.
Startup feels like a corp meta at the moment, especially R+/NEH favored, with everyone trying to land tags to either sink the ship or beat the runner up. VSA forces you to actually install real ice breakers. Which just means you can style with your monster of a draw engine for a few turns, while you shore up on hard cash.
Further, most corps (including Thule) can punish the runner for untimely steals either with Oppo Research, or just core damage. Meaning you probably shouldn't drill RD with Flux/Conduit, and instead go for singles on HQ - incidentally charging Wake Implant for a clsoing dig - or spend some time with old Weyland.
Overall I think this list is on the verge of being a prison list against glacier/scoring corps, but its tempo issues can be exploited by corps that are on a lot of assets or tags.
- Networking is very important into Oppo and you should work towards finding it asap.
- Conduit/Flux could easily be Makers Eye+Deep Dive, but maybe thats hedging too much on a single Central.
- Wake Feels very good and is much more reliable than Conduit at the moment.
- Game 1 against seal (R+) was ye olde control shaper - and the first runner game i won all week - winning by the corp being forced to actually score out and finding the Networking right on time.
- Game 2 against freddy (Thule) was wild. Freddy shored up centrals, then started building out a remote that looked like an Urtica, then a double advanced Urtica Cipher, turning out to be a Salvo Testing. The race was on, to find my final 4 points and my trusty Conduit was already charged. I dig RD, with 3 cards in hand: 2 points, Snare!, Ice, Snare! but not enough credits, another 2 points. And thats a wrap.
- Game 3 against Watzlav (Hybrid Kill/Fast Advance NEH) was I was just trying not to die and keep them from scoring out. The game went into time, when I hit HQ for 2 Beales, only for Watzlav to equalise with the third.
- Game 4 against Girometics (Regenesis/Punitive RH). Trashing his SanSan early to block him from scoring a Regenesis from hand turned the game to a an absolute slog. Digging for econ and breakers, only to eventually steal a single Regenesis from RD on my last click to time. Any other agenda, would've killed me with Punitive.
