The fine Print NEH 6th place Middleton, WI regional

This is a deck I'd been working on since before butchershop really got popular. It was the natural evolution from my The Fine Print twiy deck that got top 8 last year in regionals.

The idea is to run 'must trash' assets to keep runner money at a low level, then crush them with a big mid seasons, while scoring in their face.

Several games were won with breaking news behind data raven in a lose lose for the runner. Every match I won was flatline, and less than 15 minutes (whole matches ending in 25 or less most rounds).

It ended 4-2 in swiss and lost 2 times in elim as I drew corp vs paranoid (after playing him in swiss) who knew that I was running and was running ppvp Kate. He kept up in money and clot threated me off astro scores.

Overall very pleased, even with city surveillance, which pulled runners through data ravens and punished runners who went low on bucks (anarchs and some criminals).

I'll be adding sfss to work against clot, and maybe sscg. The ppvp kate matchup was rough, but I beat 2 of the 3 Leela's including Aaron Andrias who went on to win.

I had similar success with my standard butchershop at this regionals, albeit in the slogs of splitsville, ending 7-5 total, 5-1 with butchershop.

For whatever reason people did not like running single advanced stuff behind one unrezzed ice, and I was getting advbreaking news-scorch-traffic wins all day. Did you see that as well?

I feel like they ran it fairly often but I was always way ahead in cash so it didn't matter, it was the correct call because I could be bluffing on having mideasons, but bn definitely will tag you twice. You have to run it.

I did manage to fool a runner by advancing a tgtbt behind a data raven, leaving then tagged costing them their utopia, which later lead to a kill, so anything is advancable, I even advanced an astro 1 time to bait a run, instead I scored it and installed a Beale on click 3 leading into a rush of 4 points I rode to game point forcing a scorch win due to match point threat.

A couple different times I put down a second agenda, then advanced it once and advanced a first that had been installed the previous turn. With any sort of money, you can just force so many taxing runs, it's a hoot.
