I was designated as the HB player for Team Harmonious Seamus (thanks Rob) in the UK Intercity Friendly tournament in Newcastle. The tournament was run with teams of 4 representing cities/local areas and each team member was placed in a pod which was its own mini-tournament. Overall prestige for each player was added to a team score to give overall standings.
I ran a fairly standard mopus Kate deck with rabbit holes and found myself in a pod with 1 NBN player. Some lack of experience with the deck and generally slow setup meant I lost to some decks just rushing past me. Runner went 2-3 on the day.
I had a much better time with my corp that I had kind of thrown together based on a few different decks I've seen going around on our game nights/jinteki.
Escalation brought with it two very spicy codegates in Fairchild 3.0 and DNA Tracker.
I liked both of these enough with their high costs to break with common decoders that I decided to put them all in the deck.
I've been playing without hedge funds in HB for a while, generally the AALs, Laterals and Blue Levels provide a strong enough economy for rushing agendas behind gear check ice and getting biotic scores. The 6 rez cost for Fairchild 3.0 is still quite reasonable for this strat but having 3 and 2 DNA trackers can make things a little tight. Due to that I decided to include the adonis/breaker bay package - even getting the 1 extra cred on advanced assembly lines can be a real bonus sometimes.
I think the deck would probably have a rough time against the anarch builds running Ice Carver/Suckers and Yog but fortunately my pod was quite anarch light. On the day I went 4-1 winning against Leela, Geist, Sunny and "Stealth" Hayley, losing to a Leela. Given Crim's troubles with big code gates this is pretty much as I'd have expected (Leela's disruption making both games there close).
It was a great day, a good 5 rounds of netrunner and lots of fun. Team Edinburgh ended up winning overall which was also great, our second Intercity win.
