Yeah, I hear what you're saying on the 1-of's. I actually don't consider the consoles all-important in this deck, and more "bonus if I get them". That is also why I put the 2nd type of console in there (again, being stuck with just 1 core at the moment), which you saw later. I find both to be pretty useful, so if I get either, I'm happy. I'm happier yet if I get a Modded with Toolbox, which has happened once already. I like the Wyrm to be able to lower the strength of some ice, particularly sentries, since Mimic can't boost its own strength. But I didn't realize until today that to USE the Wyrm, you have to boost its strength too. So that does make it much less friendly. I thought you could just use it to lower the strength of stuff, and go on with your other breakers, until today. Bummer. I actually find Parasite hard to use too, due to low MU in general. So I may take Wyrm and Parasite both out and do some more playing around. I just added Cyberfeeder though, which would help a little with Parasite, but I dunno... I'm getting C&C tonight actually, so I'm kind of thinking of going with Shaper instead. But I'm starting in a league tonight, and don't love the Shaper deck in core, which is why I went with this to start. |

Big boxes are good to start with. And with so much stuff in there, plus the neutrals, you'll generally find a lot of good things to splash. Have fun, yo! |
Wyrm is an unnecessarily goofy card and not great as an AI breaker. It has some synergy with Parasite, in that you can Parasite a piece of ice and then lower it to zero with Wyrm, but you'll never use Wyrm for anything else since it isn't actually a good breaker. And also, datasucker already does the one thing that Wyrm might be good for. I'd say switch them to Crypsis.
Also, and this is more a fault with the core set than with your deck, having one copy of a console is derpy. With no hardware tutors you have no way of getting it when you need it and it's either never going to come up or be a dead card when it does (if you can't afford it). Mind, when Toolbox does get out I'm sure it's all sunshine and rainbows, but maybe turning it into another crash space will be more helpful.
Decks need consistency to be good and having only one of something means you might not see it for 90% of your games. Unless you have a card that can search your deck for the cards you need (like Special Order for icebreakers) having 1 copy of something isn't especially great. How important to the deck can it be if you might never see it. If you can trade it for another copy of something actually useful, shouldn't you? I know the core set screws you in that regard (Ice Carver, I just noticed you have grimoire in there too, which somewhat invalidates my paragraph about consoles as one-ofs).
