Off the Grid behind two skyscrapers

Greek Geek 461

The idea here is to create big - HUGE towers protecting your HQ, R&D. throw in Off the grid, some economy to rez the ice, and you should probably be able to score these expensive agendas. I would probably mulligan anything that hasn't at least 2 ice, one economy, and has an agenda.

Haven't tried it yet probably tommorow or after the New Year, but I would like your oppinions

If what you described is your plan, you definitely need more ICE (aim for 20 or so). I would drop GLC for it, maybe even Successful Demo (and expect to spend some time clicking for credits, so maybe two or three copies of Melange could find a place)

Uroboros is outright bad in this kind of deck, as are both Viktors, though for different reasons - Viktor 1.0 can be broken for free, Viktor 2.0 doesn't pull his weight when clicked through. I'd drop them both and swap for some Hudson 1.0 (multi-access will murder you, with the amount of 3-pointers you're running) and more Heimdalls of both kinds. Also, a third Eli - that piece is just phenomenal for what you're trying to do here.

Janus should probably also be dropped, in favor of more Heimdalls - in the one run that matters, the runner will take the braindamage... it won't be enough to kill him, and he'll probably score 3 points for it. That means that the game will be over before you make him feel the BD. A Heimdall 2.0 does a similar thing, is significantly cheaper and cannot just be run through willy-nilly.

A third Interns would probably be a good idea, though I don't know what to drop for it... to be honest, I'd probably lose the Restructures altogether and instead opt for a Melange + Campaigns plan.

Made some of the changes you proposed, I am a bit worried about economy, -5 operations, + 3 MMC, don't know if it wil hold up, I'll let you know

Depending on how long your game goes before you drop an Off the Grid, you'll probably want your centrals to be pretty taxing while being only minimally expensive for you. To that end, I think you would do rather well using Bioroid Efficiency Research. Because he can't be clicked through, Wotan is your best ice to rez in that manner (I have 2 in my deck for that reason), but you'd also do well to rez an Ichi 2.0 or Heimdall 2.0 that way: you only spend 3 to rez, and the runner has to spend a good chunk of change muscling past.

Another possibility would be Minelayer: you want your centrals nice in large anyway, he only costs 1 to rez, runners breaking him have to pay more than they'd like to in most cases, and he gives you a chance to install for a coin even during the runner's turn.

So, I ran a weyland deck like this and you're ignoring a card I splashed for, and a card you should splash for.
1.) Rework. You need time to avoid agendas and build. You can cover your primary weakness R&D, while reworking agendas back in.

2.) Research Labratory. This turns you into a mini-cerebral imaging. With 3 of these on HQ, your hand can be huge, and what agendas you do draw, you can hide in the crowd.

Another fun card to add would be haas archology AI, but only if you found you can actually keep the runner out. It allows for 2 fast advanced agendas from IAA.

point 1: r&d should be HQ

Look put for the next iteration of this. It works great!
