Emotional Support Dragon (2-1, 4th overall @ NH June CO)

Good morning friends.

I played this deck at the recent CO in NH. Loup is fun, but I had to figure out stuff after the Knob ban. Friday Chip is a pretty good substitute for the adding Virus counters text (I know it's different, but it's better than people act like it is, especially in Loup w/ 3 Imps), but the MU was a huge, huge problem. I tried messing around with Maw, but I couldn't really afford it, and I didn't want to figure out how to. So I played Keiko because it's 2c for 2 MU, a steal! Eric and Nick of Neon Static fame saw me playing it at our weekly meetups, so they also played the deck.

You use Audrey/Botulus early to break in to stuff and trash it with your Imp and reload your Friday Chip/get money and cards with your ID. Late game you can Simulchip a whole rig in to play and break everything for pennies. I think there's probably a version that plays more Companions +/- Twinning, and I do think some Multiaccess would be helpful (people say you can just check all the remotes, and you sorta can, but I think it'd be more resilient if you didn't need to do that every time). That being said, card slots were brutally tough to come by. The worst cards are probably like, Labor Rights (it's just kinda not necessary, except to make sure you don't lose your Epilogue; I wonder if it's just worth not worrying about it) and Nuka. The Nuka used to be a Miss Bones, and I would probably swap that back. Ice Carver + Audrey is fun.

I only lost one game, and the 3 copies of Imp weren't just "near the bottom", they were literally the last 3 cards. I know because I went through my whole deck in the game I lost. He scored an early Flower Sermon and used it to show me ICE all game, which kinda killed the engine part of the deck. I think this was kinda fluke-y and nothing else about the game was remotely dangerous, so I don't really think it was a deck problem.

I also went 2-1 on PD, but it was just something I copied from here, so I didn't post it. I honestly spent all my playtest time working on Runner because it's more interesting to me. NotAgain blew me out by taking a million tags that I couldn't punish, and the other two games didn't feel super close the other way.

The deck name comes from the fact that fundamentally, the console is just here to give you 2 MU, and whatever else it does is gravy (which is usually at least a few credits per game, sometimes more). Don't forget to like/comment/subscribe.

Loved it on the day, thanks for posting! The card slots are rough for sure. We were looking at the list on Weds before the tournament, and when Eric insisted that it needed a Light the Fire, Derek just laid out the entire deck and told him to find one to cut for it. Turned out he couldn't. I really wanna find room for a Tranquilizer, because some of the big ice is brutal, but not sure how to do it.

I should note, I'm claiming this version because it's better than mine, but we were 1 card different - I was on 3x Moshing 1x Labor rights instead of 2 and 2. There were several points where I would've liked to toss the Labor Rights, but couldn't, so having a backup would be good. And several of those points were wanting to trash it to Moshing, so maybe we're one over.
