No-Surprises Kate (1st place SMC ANRPC championship)

As the name says, no real surprises. It's a PPvP Kate deck, which it turns out is popular for a reason.

I knew there were some local Atlanta players who favor the scorch kill, and thought it prudent to pack a Plascrete Carapace. Film Critic did the most work against RP, and though I had it installed vs Butchershop, it actually didn't factor in at all. Likewise, Clot barely saw play, though I played NEH four times throughout the day (and an HBFA deck).

I had considered bringing Timmy Wong's Valencia list, but I had a hard time getting it moving fast enough to cope with NEH rush tactics. Turned out to be a good decision to bring Kate, as she's pretty well-equipped to handle anything, and three of the top 4 matches were against pretty quick NEH builds.
