Like any good criminal, I completely stole this deck idea from some Jnet rando, I believe his name was hipsterwannabe.
Step 1: Get a bunch of dollars with Au Revoir while poking stuff with Snitch. Forged Activation Orders if you can find something expensive, then Emergency Shutdown that nonsense before it gets problematic. Run The Maker's Eye because nobody expects you to care about R&D. If you can't get in, Make an Entrance and blammo your entire deck just unfolds before you.
Once you're sitting on a pile of credits, get a Blackguard and make them regret ever exposing ice. Remember to leave one ice unrezzed or one asset untrashed so you can Au Revoir though, it gets embarrassing when your entire econ gets wrecked.
Pray you never see net damage, and Film Critic is there so you don't have to try and outmoney the Corp. You're flimsy, slippery, and all up in their grill. You're Silhouette. Make it count.

First off, these are VERY valid concerns. Thanks for sharing them! On MU: Blackguard is +2 MU, and you can delay building a rig by quite a bit if you only install the breakers you need. If the entire rig is up (which does not happen often), ditch the Snitch; chances are that engine will have died to Blackguard by then anyhow, and if the game runs long as Silhouette you're probably not going to win anyhow. Get desperate. Disposable B&E requires link. Making an Entrance lets you trash your extra Snitches and costs fewer clicks and slots. Double code gates on a remote? You're Silhouette, you're still getting in and you can reliably expose whatever's in the remote. Blackguard isn't there to break the Corp, it's there to mess up math. It also triggers on any card, not just ice; those SanSans NEH installed for the Turtlebacks credits just became liabilities. Hernando Cortez- now HE'S there to break the Corp. Komainu, Hive, and Ichi are all sadder for having known him. Crescentus doesn't do anything unless you can break the ice. You don't have to break ice as Silhouette, you only need to be able to get around it. |
So, I really want Sil to work. Like, I REALLY want to find a way to come up with some obscure combo deck that goes from hipster-jank to competitive (but not competitive that other people want to play her, just me)... but I can't see how this deck works.
What are you doing to solve your MU once you've got your entire rig set up to AuRevoir/Snitch? If you're running disposable breakers why not go cloud B&E? Why run Making an Entrance when Spy Camera is already all the rage? Hell, Rolodex would be better than spending influence on Entrance.
What happens when somebody double-stacks code gates on a remote? Or sentries for that matter? Inside Job and Faerie are only going to get you so far past your Mongoose.
Bleh... Blackguard just makes me so... sad.... corps these days don't have a problem making money, and "forcing" them to rez their ice doesn't feel like much of an advantage. Even with a 3x Crescentus and FAO deck, a vast majority of the ice out there is cheap enough that they'll have no problem rezzing it again if it ETRs. If you're looking to break the corp you'd be better off just Siphoning.
