Apoc Loup (American Continentals 3-3, 9th in Swiss)

I felt that Apoc was the only way for me to keep up with PD without finding some way to get good at 419, and slotted a few imp’s for the Sports matchup. Played 2 Sports (one W one L) and no PD on the day, but had some interesting games against CtM(W), Ag Infusion(L), Acme(W), NEH(L), so really a pretty diverse day.

Zer0 really churns through a 40 card deck, but I think I often labor rights-ed for the wrong things when my deck was empty, like not valuing fast money against yellow decks. Also tunneled into finding apoc plays at times when I should have been interacting with the board state

Heartbreaking loss to Ag when I was up in points 5-0, but was out of cards and tricks, and got killed by Clearinghouse not long before time was called. Had a Citadel Sanctuary in hand 2 turns before but was not expecting it AT ALL.

Paladin and Maemi should have been Moshing, as they don’t get enough value unless they’re trashed by Aesop after an apoc, which didn’t happen reliably.

All in all had a blast, felt like I learned a ton about NR and how to improve my playstyle, and my family got to watch me on stream, cheering me on even though it sounded like “space language” as they said.
