Just took this to an unexpected win at ChiLo City Grudge Match in Louisville, KY - hosted by the Breaking News podcast. 18 players, but there were some big names there from both Chicago and Cincinnati! I have played in 1 GNK and 1 Store Champ since GenCon (early August), and I logged into Jinteki for a couple games last night. Despite being being way out of practice - and way out of my league - Sifr let me run R&D all day long until it coughed up wins. Also a whole lot of luck was involved. Ended up at the final table against Josh Wilson's CTM and a very very wealthy Andy.

Went 3-2 as runner pre-cut. Dropped one game to Eric Caoili due in part to two things: 1) I am out of practice and inexperienced with this kind of deck and 2) I tried to keep pace on CTM's assets when I should have just let him run away with the money. Other game I dropped to Josh's CTM just due to bad plays all-around on my part but also because all 3 parasites were sitting at the bottom of my deck (along with the clone chips and Black Orchestras, too).

At the final table, first game lasted maybe 10 minutes? I think I got Hard-Hitting News'd on like turn 2 or 3 with no money to clear tags, so I just went full-on tagme with a medium and hammered R&D. Game 2, also about 10 minutes or lesss, Josh returned the favor gaining obscene money early on with Temujin, Desperado, and I think Sec Testing then dropped a medium and hammered R&D just the same. Game 3, back to me as runner. Pressured the board a little bit (Sifr/parasite'd a Tollbooth) to buy some time, then dropped a medium, ran R&D, hit a data raven, and just decided to eat the tags. Had about a dozen tags by the end, I think, but Medium brought it home again for the win.

Great tournament, had fun, but I can't say I'm enthused about the deck. Josh is a FAR superior player than me but what can you do when you can't protect your servers? Got some sweet prizes thanks to Dodd, Daine, and Andy, as well as Tony Sarkee's amazing custom ID creations!
