Robotic Crackdown

Income Tax 357

I saw the other version and decided to try my hand at it. There's a nasty Noise player in my meta, and this is my little bit of revenge.

As normal, you'll want to get DC out as early as you can, preferably behind 2 ICE (Destroyer outer, ETR inner). Do -not- neglect to protect your centrals while setting this up, as I learned from Siphon/Indexing/Lamprey shennanigans.

Once that's all down and you have a few turns to breathe, see if you can get the glorious Musin/Mandatory combo. Once you spot a chance where they have no money, plop it down. If you're scared, plop an ETR in front to 'secure it'.

Note: Securing the agenda only prompts Crims to use Inside Job, and is useless against a Kit with her Decoder out or a Shaper with a breaker/Tinkering. Better to bluff an Aggressive Secretary or Cerebral than announce that it's an agenda.

I prefer Power Shutdown to Will-o-Wisp. WoW is too expensive for what it does in my opinion, but then again it's great against Big Rig runners.

I've gotten questions about Sherlock. It's there as a deterrent. They'll already be getting a Killer out first, but Sherlock is a good speed-bump and combos well with Crackdown. Obviously don't use this when your opponent might -want- to return something to the top (Overmind, Imp, Cerberus).

You will most likely not score NAPD, and it's there to sap them of resources. Efficency Committee is there to help build a Dockland after it is trashed, or to let you do more while clearing counters (against, say, Noise).

Econ is light, but Gila picks up the slack when needed. Eve is a good econ hit to the runner, who already has Crackdown to deal with. Usually Crackdown is enough of a distraction that I usually get my Eve money without contest. If the runner is particularly dedicated, drop it behind a single piece of ice.
