A deck for people interested in playing Nisei Division, but don't know where to begin.
Based on a highly tested PE build I was working on, but abandoned. This deck focuses on a scorched or scorched EMP flatline, while taxing the piss out of the runner with cheap ice. Basically you should be sticking things into the remote every turn after solidifying it. Play as never advance, but use TFP when you think you can score, otherwise, they're just a PITA to steal. I would consider making some cuts to put Braintrust in instead of TFP just to continue with Never Advance.

Do you think Will-o might be a good include? Seems a great include in many never advance builds to me. |

seems too expensive for this build. This focuses on scoring and getting brain damage to make scorch effective through plascrete. |

No Caprice? I would have thought her to be a sure-fire pick in a Nisei deck. I'm guessing the False Leads are so that if they hit a Komainu or a Psychic Field they don't have time to beef up their hand, allowing you to Neural EMP them? Also, stopping them having time to remove Snare! tags so you can scorch? How often do you get the Brain Damage to fire? Your only source is the Cerebral Cast, and if they have plascrete up, presumably they'll cheerfully take the tag. (I've not really tried using CC yet, so I could be way off base). Would adding in something like Tori Hanzo and House of Knives be a good backup option? If you're only trying to do one or two brain damage in never advance, perhaps Edge of the World? If you take out TFP, is there any point to it being a Nisei deck? They're the only thing that will realistically trigger the psi game repeatedly. Sorry for the barrage of questions, but I'm working on a similar Nisei concept at the moment and it's good to pick the brains of the more experienced players. |

Tried this deck this week, and it was pretty fun to play (and horrible for the runner). EMP, Scorch & Cerebral cast is an awesome combination and reveals to be very effective. However, I did not see that much use of the ID power. It could be good to go fully on the never advance route, and while doing that switch to PE. Seeing the Nisei ID on table though is pretty disturbing for the other people I played with. Another idea would be to drop a Scorched Earth or the SEA Source and load up the deck with Archived Memories so that you're able to reccur quickly Cerebral Casts and put the runner in a difficult position. I also had lot of success with Sweeps Week on these kind of kill decks, since the runner will often draw up to avoid ending up dead, but there's not enough room for that here. Psychic Field was not as effective as I would have liked, but having it around is scary enough for the runner. Here's my try : netrunnerdb.com |
key plays to get brain damage to set up the EMP win are to show 2-3 scorches with Celebrity gift, then next turn you can, play Cerebral casts, so they have to take the brain damage. Get a few BD and you're on easy street.
