Pre-rotation decklist |
This deck went 4-4 in the Darksphere Store Championship in London. It went 4-2 in the swiss and 0-2 in the cut. Its name is from the club I was at until 5am the night before the tournament.
This deck is just a variation on SlySquid's deck: http://netrunnerdb.com/en/decklist/26324/slysquids-mother-f-deck-w-sansan-cycle (Featured on ANR Blackcats podcast, which is where I heard about it). I am pretty sure my changes made the deck worse rather than better. The plascrete and grimoire were there as safety nets because I had only played the deck three times a few days before the tournament and had never played Maxx before this and so gave me a bit more leeway in the mistakes I was making and being able to run it less close to the wire. The passport is there as it allows you to get through Turing for 1 credit and 1 credit install. I feel the deck needed a way to trash ice too so hence the addition of the parasites, though MWL will curb this addition.
The cut games were both against Foodcoats decks and my 3 hours of sleep really caught up with me after 10 hours of netrunner. I believe this deck can beat foodcoats (I beat two in the swiss) but you have to be on top form to do so. After turn 5/6 it is a serious uphill battle.
I feel the next step for me in this deck is to cut account siphon (that is right I am going to stick my neck on the line and say account siphon is dead!), it is just a dead draw against good foodcoats players; they ash/caprice hq and their ability to bounce back from 0 credits is next to none. Unless you ddos siphon turn 1 then I felt it never felt worthwhile. Against other matchups it is a lot stronger but wanton destruction just felt like it won me more games in those anyway. Hopefully this will free up 8 influence for SECRET TECH!!!
Thanks again to SlySquid for created a great decklist.
